Is the Armchair Tour the same as the study tour?
It follows the same route and the same teaching, but you take it from your chair. Middle East conflict from 2023 onward stopped tourism into Israel, so Dr. Ross rebuilt the twelve-day tour as a guided walk through the book — page by page, site by site.
What exactly do I get?
Discover Israel: An Illustrated Guide (second edition) — 226 pages, 460 photographs, 74 maps and charts and 4 videos, available for desktop, mobile and print — plus the armchair tour guide that tells you which pages to read on which day. This demo is not wired to a store, so ordering runs through Dr. Ross directly.
How much does it cost?
Pricing is set by the ministry and isn’t published on this concept demo — we won’t invent a number. The ministry’s own line is that studying at your own pace saves over $6,000 against the cost of travelling. Email bob@discoverisraelministries.com for current pricing.
When is the next tour to Israel?
Undetermined. Regional conflict (2023–26) has stopped tourism into the Land. Dr. Ross keeps a list and will announce dates when travel reopens — join the list here.
Is Israel safe for tourists?
The ministry’s published position: no nation is better prepared, no person on an organised tour has been attacked or injured by a terrorist in 70 years, and Israel averages roughly 4 million visitors a year. That said, travel is paused right now regardless of the record.
Is this a pilgrimage?
No — and Dr. Ross is emphatic about it. This is not a tour of churches built over traditional sites. It is a study of God’s Word in God’s Land, with the geography, archaeology and first-century Jewish context doing the teaching.
Who is Yehuda Hecht?
The tour’s certified Israeli guide of more than thirty years. A Jew who majored in New Testament studies at the Hebrew University and minored in the Crusades, he has fought in three wars and is regarded as a war hero in Israel. His “behind the curtain” sessions on the Middle East are a signature of the tour.
Can I use this with my church or small group?
That is exactly what it was built for. Dr. Ross taught the Discover Israel Seminar in local churches for fifteen years before turning it into a guide. Contact him about group study.
Do you have a course on the Jewishness of Jesus?
It is in production. Web subscriptions for the online course will open when it is finished — read what it covers and ask to be told when it launches.
How do I give, and is it tax deductible?
Bob C. Ross Ministries is a 501(c)(3). Gifts go by Zelle through your bank, or by check to 2700 Juniper Court, Heath, TX 75126. Gifts of $50 or more receive an end-of-year tax-deductible receipt. You may designate a specific ministry or give to the general fund.
Is this the real Discover Israel website?
No. This is a concept redesign built by Trinity Sites to show Dr. Ross what his ministry could look like. Nothing here is wired to a payment processor or a mail server, and no order or donation placed here reaches anyone.
